Our Selection Process for Top 10 BC Immigrant Awards 2025

Top 10 BC Immigrant Awards nominees undergo a meticulous selection process to ensure that the award is given fairly and transparently. Let’s take a look at the overview of the selection process for this award:

1 Nomination Submission

South Asia Expo in Canada’s ‘Top 10 BC Immigrant Award 2025’ is looking for nominations from individuals who have made influential contributions to their respective fields in British Columbia. Eligible candidates must be immigrants (aged 18 or older) who have economically added value to British Columbia through their work or community efforts.
Nominees must be either landed immigrants or Canadian citizens, as per Canadian law. Their contributions should have made a significant benefit to the province. Note that only those who have immigrated to Canada are eligible, which ensures the award honors the true spirit of immigrant achievement.
However, any member or associate of the Global Conference Alliance Inc. is strictly prohibited from consideration. These eligibility criteria are essential to maintaining the integrity and purpose of the awards.

2 Self-Nomination Guidelines

Individuals are welcome to nominate themselves for the Top 10 BC Immigrant Award 2025. However, it is recommended that you have a reference from someone who is familiar with their contributions, along with contact details.

3 Nomination for South Asia Expo

The ‘Top 10 BC Immigrant Award‘ nomination period for South Asia Expo 2025 runs from January 1 to March 31, 2025. Within this time frame, you have to submit your nominations online to recognize immigrants making significant contributions to British Columbia across various fields and industries.
This esteemed award celebrates the diversity and achievements of individuals who positively impact their communities. It shows their dedication, resilience, and leadership. 4 Voting and Shortlisting

After the nomination period closes on March 31, 2025, our online voting phase will start from April 1 to May 31, 2025. During this time, the public can vote for their preferred nominees from the eligible candidates.
The top 50 nominees who receive the highest number of votes will move on to the next stage of the selection process. Our esteemed jury panel will review the profiles of these shortlisted candidates. In that case, the jury assesses them based on predetermined criteria, including their achievements, impact, and contributions to British Columbia.
The final winners will be announced on June 1, 2025, on our website and social media platforms. The award ceremony is scheduled for August 31, 2025, at the South Asia Expo closing ceremony.

5 Checks and Verifications

If the nominee engages with any esteemed groups or organizations, mention their affiliation. This will allow the jury to evaluate the nominee’s influence and active participation in the professional network.
Briefly describe the nominee’s challenges or obstacles that he/she overcame to achieve their accomplishments. This information sets the nominee apart from someone capable and highlights the candidate’s struggle and success.
